ABOUT THE FILM

A compelling film cantered around a spirited group of thirteen teenagers, embarking on an unpredictable journey. Set in current day Chennai, the film follows these upper middle-class brats, -determined to prove to themselves and the world, that they are in fact adults, capable of making their own decisions.

Radhakrishnan Parthiban

Radhakrishnan Parthiban is a New Wave film maker from India. The three-time winner of the prestigious Indian National Film Awards, has acted in over 72 films, directed 15 and produced 12. Parthiban’s films have culturally rooted themes with an evident flair for the language Tamil evident from his dialogue conception. He is known for having directed critically acclaimed films like Puthiya Paadhai (Road not taken) and Housefull (Houseful) that won the Indian National Film Awards for Best Regional Film in 1989 and 1999 respectively. One of his recent works, Oththa Seruppu Size 7 (Single Slipper Size 7), was widely received as the world’s first single actor film that was also written, directed and produced by the actor himself; a complete one-man show. 

Oththa Seruppu was bestowed with the prestigious Special Jury Award at the Indian National Film Awards in 2019. Its other accolades include Official Selection: Indian Film Festival, Melbourne (2020), Best Feature Film & Best Feature Film Director: Toronto Tamil Film Festival (2020), amongst others. An experimental gem from Radhakrishnan Parthiban, Iravin Nizhal (Shadow of The Night) has been critically acclaimed all over the world and has received more than 120 international awards so far. It has received the record ‘World’s First Non-Linear Single Shot Film’ by the ‘India Book of Records’ and Asia Book of Records’

Yogi Babu

Yogi Babu (born 22 July 1985) is an Indian actor and comedian, who appears in Tamil films. He is a three time Ananda Vikatan Cinema Award winner, he performed in Aandavan Kattalai (2016), Kolamavu Kokila (2018) and Pariyerum Perumal.

Babu worked as an assistant director in the Lollu Sabha, and helping write scenes for two years. He made his feature film debut in the Ameer-starring Yogi (2009) as an aspiring actor and subsequently adapted the name of the film as a prefix for his stage name. He appeared as a goon in Paiyaa. He later appeared in Sundar C.'s Kalakalappu (2012). In 2013, he appeared in his first extended comedy role with Pattathu Yaanai (2013) while he also featured in the Hindi film, Chennai Express alongside Shah Rukh Khan.

Yogi Babu had a breakthrough year in 2016, featuring in 20 films, and winning critical acclaim for his role alongside Vijay Sethupathi in Aandavan Kattalai (2016). This was followed by his role in Kolamavu Kokila (2018) where his one-sided lover portrayal opposite Nayanthara was critically acclaimed while the Kalyana Vayasu song and his antics in it went viral. He appears as supporting character in film Pariyerum Perumal (2018), the film released to positive reviews from critics, with critics praising the comedy and performance of Yogi Babu. He acted for the first time as lead role in Dharmaprabhu (2019) which he play of role of Yamantaka. He played a key role in Gurkha (2019). Babu is a security guard in this hostage drama written and directed by Sam Anton.
